The moss is starting to turn a rich green, daffodils are up and wild flowers are starting to peak up from the soil! Back in October I attended a class to learn all about moss! We touched and saw many varieties and were able to bring home some to start our own moss garden. I planted mine in a soggy corner of my front door garden close to a window so I could check on their progress through the winter. A moss garden doesn't have to be in the ground, you can start one in an old birdbath, wheelbarrow, any interesting container or vessel you find on your art outings! You can pick up moss in a craft store, and in garden nurseries where they also have small plants to use in fairy gardens. You can get really creative with it and add fairy garden pieces to a miniature moss garden! Miniature benches, arbors, birdhouses, the list is endless! Fairy gardens make great gifts too!
