Everyone Is Creative!

We show it in the way we live our lives and how we interact with the world around us. The life you create for yourself and those you love is your art! As a soon to be empty nester I feel like I am coming through a portal. Being a wife, mother and caregiver over the years can zap ones creative energy. At times even make us feel creatively blocked!

The words creative, artistic, well, those two words can sound so scary! Even to an artist...because we cant't always be 'on'. So let's start at the beginning.

Preparatory steps are necessary in all the arts. Before a painter paints they must decide on the right colors. She has to prepare her canvas, make preliminary sketches.

The decorater starts with an empty space, she has to decide on colors, fabrics, furniture placement, accessories. The photographer has a vision in their mind, they search for design in the world around them. The musician practices the music before performing. Every 24 hours we are given a fresh canvas, a new space to prepare for that vision. Let's quiet our mind, carve out time, even five minutes a day, to dream and express oursleves.
